Y35 Mag Issue No. 16
Spring 2023: Back in the saddle, celebrating the timeless medium of film as we release our 16th issue, we're thrilled to introduce you to the work of Leah Giammarva, Jonathan Mok, Ashley Knott, Lauren Fraser, and Dennis Eichmann. We've also got a special feature and interview from Drew Carolan that we know you'll love. Each artist brings a unique perspective and vision to their work, capturing the beauties and struggles of life in their own way. Through their lenses, we're transported to worlds and perspectives separate from our own. And as you learn about them, I'm confident you'll also learn about their subjects and, ultimately, more about yourself.
As you make your way through the pages of this issue, you'll learn about a seriously underappreciated project called Hot Photato, which brings together artists and photographers from around the world in a peculiarly collaborative fashion. And we're inspired by Bobby Flores' account of his first art gallery, which reminds us of the importance of community and interaction in the real world- removed from the internet. For those sour on the state of art and social media, surely you'll find some encouraging insights in Bobby's words.
